Cara Setting Indosat IM2 Broom

Saat ini IM2 Broom menjadi salah satu pilihan dalam mengakses internet. IM2 Broom dengan modal seratus ribu per bulan anda dapat mengakses internet sepuasnya karena Indosat memberlakukan unlimited akses. IM2 Broom menggunakan jaringan 3.5G dengan kecepatan hingga 3.6Mbps sehingga mempunyai akses download yang relatif cepat. Untuk menikmati layanan ini anda hanya perlu Modem 3.5G/HSDPA atau dengan Handphone 3.5G dan kartu perdana IM2 Broom.

Untuk melakukan setting Indosat IM2 Broom berikut langkah-langkahnya :
1. Masukkan kartu/chips IM2 kedalam modem 3G
2. Hubungkan modem dengan PC/Laptop melalui USB/PCMCIA
3. Install driver modem yang disertakan
4. Install aplikasi dial up dari modem yang disertakan
Setting dial up Im2 Broom
1. Aktivasi kartu IM2 Broom terlebih dahulu. Baca buku petunjuk yang disertakan
2. Instalasi Driver
Berikut contoh instalasi driver dengan modem ZTE yang dikutip dari situs IndosatM2 :

1. Masukkan Modem 3.5G ke dalam slot USB, tunggu beberapa saat…

2. Akan muncul window dialog seperti dibawah ini, klik “Next”

3. Klik “I accept….”, lalu klik “Next”

4. Klik “Change” untuk mengubah directory tempat sofware akan di-install, atau langsung klik
   “Next”

5. Tunggu hingga proses instalasi selesai

6. Klik “Finish”

7. Tunggu beberapa saat, hingga muncul informasi “Your new hardware is installed and ready
   to use”

C. Cara Penggunaan

1. Pertama kali sesaat setelah modem driver di-install, biasanya menu utility langsung
   dijalankan secara otomatis, namun jika tidak, klik dua kali pada shortcut
“MF620 HSDPA EDGE USB MODEM”
2. Berikut ini adalah tampilan awal, untuk melakukkan setting modem klik “Settings” (icon
   Obeng dan Kunci Pas)
3. Klik “Network Settings”
4. Klik “Config File”, lalu klik “Add”. Config File “Indosatm2″ tidak bisa di-Edit, oleh karena itu
   sebaiknya membuat Config File yang baru.
5. Masukkan parameter di bawah ini, lalu klik “OK”

Config Filename	:	IM2
Dial Number	:	*99#
Check “Save Username and Password” terlebih dahulu sebelum input User & Password
User Name	:
Password	:
Check “Use the following APN name” terlebih dahulu sebelum input APN
APN	:	indosatm2
Authentication Mode	:	PAP


6. Klik “IM2″ pada Filename, klik “Set default” . Pastikan “Default config file” nya sudah
   menggunakan Filename “IM2″. Berikutnya klik “Internet” (icon Bola Dunia atau Globe)
7. Untuk memulai koneksi, klik “Connect”
8. Jika koneksi berhasil akan muncul tampilan seperti di bawah ini. Klik “Internet connection
   records” untuk mengetahui historical usage
9. Berikut ini contoh historical usage
10. Untuk mengakhiri koneksi, klik “Disconnect”

• Enter new account as Broadband IM2

  • APN : indosatm2
  • Username : indosatm2 ( sesuai dengan registrasinya )
  • Password : prabayar ( sesuai dengan registrasinya )
  • Save the settings and return back to the `Connectivity` menu
  • Select `Internet settings` and go to `Internet profiles`
• Select `New profile` and enter name : Broadband IM2 and connect using : Broadband Im2
• Save the settings and return back to the `Internet profiles` menu
• Under the Broadband IM2, select `More` and go to `Settings`
• Save the settings and go the `Advanced settings` from the previous `More` options
• Select `Change homepage` and enter the details as follow :

• From the `Main Menu` and go to `Tools`
• Under `Control Panel` and select `Connections`
• Select `Internet accounts` and choose `More` -> `New account`
• Select `Data` and enter the details as follow :
  • Account name : Broadband IM2
  • Address : indosatm2
  • Username : indosatm2 ( sesuai dengan registrasinya )
  • Password : prabayar ( sesuai dengan registrasinya )
• Select `More` and go to `Proxy`
• Select `Save` to save the settings, return back to the main menu, select `Multimedia` -> `Web`
• Select `More` -> `Open web page`, enter the URL :
• Broadband 3.5 G IM2 configuration settings completed

Setting Pada PC Suite

• Pastikan Kabel Data telah terhubung dengan handphone yang ada. Jangan lupa aplikasi PC Suite juga telah di instal pada notebook / komputer.
• Ada beberapa media penghubung notebook dengan handphone yang ada antara lain :
  • Kabel Data USB
  • Bluetooth
  • Infra Red
• Buka Program Nokia PC Suitenya. Klik tombol Hubungkan ke Internet. Nanti ada tampilan One Touch Access.
• Connection Manually.
• Karena kita menggunakan Broadband IM2, langkah terakhir isi:
  • Access Point Name : indosatm2
  • Username: indosatm2 ( sesuai)
  • Password : prabayar (sesuai )
  • Initial Setting di biarkan kosong, lalu klik Finish.
• Kembali ke One Touch Access (seperti pada gambar pertama). Klik Tombol Sambungkan. Sambungan akan dilangsungkan dengan memverifikasi username dan pasword. Komputer telah konek ke internet jika di pojok kanan bawah komputer kita muncul icon komputer kecil.

Troubleshooting

• Troubleshooting: Jika tidak bisa connect, padahal settingan sudah benar, kemungkinan terbesar adalah modemnya belum terdeteksi oleh komputer. Kadang memang handset (HP) yang dijadikan sebagai modem tidak serta merta terdeteksi oleh komputer. Bisa jadi hanya karena idle komputer tidak mendeteksi modem lagi. Satu-satunya cara adalah dengan merestart Nokia PC suite, kabel USB, ataupun komputernya.
